1400 g can Rhodes Quality Chopped & Peeled Tomatoes
1 cup (250 ml) brown lentils
1 cup (150 ml) beef stock
1 Tbsp (15 ml) sugar
Salt and Hinds Spices Pure Black Pepper for seasoning
500 g pasta, cooked
50 g grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
Heat the oil in a large pot over a medium heat. Add the onions and garlic and fry for 3 minutes. Add the thyme, Hinds Spices Paprika and mince and cook for 5 minutes.
Mix the Bisto Gravy Brown Onion powder with the boiling water and set aside.
Add the Rhodes Quality Tomato Paste, Rhodes Quality Chopped & Peeled Tomatoes, lentils, beef stock, gravy and sugar. Season with salt and Hinds Spices Pure Black Pepper.
Simmer for 1 hour over a gentle heat, stirring occasionally.
Serve with cooked pasta of your choice and top with grated Parmesan.
